Ryan Gosling is not a fan of the paparazzi.
Yesterday, as he exited a lunch meeting at Gjelina restaurant in Venice Beach, CA, the actor did his best to avoid having his photo taken. Or at least his face.
Unfortunately for us, he chose to cover of face with a low slung baseball cap. If you’re going to cover up something pretty, at least cover it up with something pretty. Don’t cover it up with a camouflage baseball cap that says “Big Dog Drilling” on it.
Ryan is gearing up for his directorial debut.
Gosling’s directorial debut, How to Catch a Monster, which was reported in late August, will be a “dark fairytale” from a script he wrote himself.
Set against the surreal dreamscape of a vanishing city, Billy, a single mother of two (Christina Hendricks), is swept into a macabre and dark fantasy underworld while her teenage son discovers a secret road leading to an underwater town. Both Billy and Bones must dive deep into the mystery, if their family is to survive.
In the lastest casting news, Ben Mendelsohn signed on to the film. It’s uncertain what role Mendelsohn will play – he’s too old to play one of Hendrick’s sons, so he’s expected to play some sort of villainous character in the dark world, perhaps even the titular monster.
How to Catch a Monster begins filming in May.
