Thandie Newton’s Kids Sound Like Angry Hobos

David Schwimmer’s face reveals a man who is clearly trying to maintain some semblance of dignity on the red carpet, while he is forced to walk around in an outfit that can only be the result of a lost bet–the scraggly facial hair included. There’s no other reason I can think that he would show up to the premiere of his movie Run Fat Boy, Run dressed up like the lead character of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Part Deux.

David directed the film in which British beauty, Thandie Newton starred. She chatted about famous couple Madonna and Guy Ritchie, whose marriage is rumored to be on the rocks, saying of the two, “They’re having a good time, as far as I know!” She recently worked with Guy on the film, Rock and Roller.

She also talked about her own relationship with husband, Ol Parker, to whom she has been married for nearly ten years and their family life together with their children. “The key thing is that my kids don’t go to bed until 10 every night. From 7 at night until 10 – that’s when it rocks out in our house! It’s terrible because they’re knackered.” Whoah. I could be wrong, but I’m pretty sure that “knackered” means drunk and throwing things. British kids sound like a handful. No wonder British nannies are so strict.

  1. Solaera

    Knackered is British slang for tired. I guess she is referring to how wound up kids get when they’re very tired.

  2. Erika

    Knackered = tired. I get hyper when I’m tired too.

  3. jack

    Knackered = over-tired & cranky.
    Old & dead animals were taken to the “knacker’s yard” to be butchered!
    Might be better if those kids were drunk!
