Before the Today show goes ahead and declares themselves the first to release another piece of archived royal footage, we’re going to go ahead and share with you a video of Prince Harry‘s December 21st, 1984 christening. Harry, whose full name is Henry Charles Albert David, was baptised at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle, Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip‘s preferred residence.
Harry was dressed in a christening gown that has been passed down through the ages, starting with Queen Victoria‘s oldest daughter in 1841. According to The Royal Post, the gown is believed to be made of the silk and Honiton lace from Queen Victoria’s wedding gown.
Check out video from the christening. Charles lightheartedly wonders aloud how hot Harry must be in his baptism finest, while William has himself a grand time on his little brother’s big day.
