The actress attended the The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo press conference with director David Fincher at Tokyo Midtown today in Tokyo, Japan. The film will open on February 10 in Japan.

Steven Soderbergh has reportedly dropped The Town actress Blake Lively as his Side Effects leading lady in favor of Oscar nominee, Mara.

Following the news that Catherine Zeta-Jones has been cast in the film, Deadline has reported that The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo actress will play the lead role of Emily Hawkins. Hawkins is a woman who is taking an inordinate amount of prescription drugs to cope with the release of her convicted husband, played by Channing Tatum.

Jude Law is set to play the psychiatrist with whom she has a relationship, while Zeta-Jones will play a fellow doctor in the thriller.
