Robert Pattinson has it easy compared to royal bride Kate Middleton. He told British Radio Times magazine that life will be hard for Middleton as a royal. “People will lay responsibilities on her that seem totally irrelevant,” he said, allowing for no mistakes, given her position in society. He does, however, appreciate those in “The Firm” who could care less about public opinion. Pattinson told the magazine, “I have always liked the members of the royal family who couldn’t care less what anyone thinks: the ones who go, ‘I’m royalty, so shut up!’”
Despite the rigidity of being a royal, Pattinson does appreciate the old tradition of the monarchy. “That’s one of the coolest things about England, I think, that we still have this crazy old system in place” he said.
Will he be watching? Heck yeah, confirms the Water For Elephants star. He’s just as into the royal wedding as we are, which makes Pattinson all the more endearing.
“Yes, I’ll definitely be watching the royal wedding. I mean, they’re absolutely obsessed with it in America, it is just insane but I guess it’s kind of a big deal. Actually, I think it’s really sort of fascinating.”
Our vampire royal enthusiast attended a Water For Elephants (Wasser fuer die Elefanen, if you were wondering how to say it in German) photo call at Hotel de Rome in Berlin, Germany with co-star Christoph Waltz today and had a little fun.
