Kristen Stewart arrived in Japan today ahead of the premiere for her new film The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2. Stewart was greeted by dozens of anxious fans at Tokyo’s Narita International Airport.
Dressed casually in jeans and sneakers, Kristen took time to sign for fans and pose for pictures before being escorted off under tight security. Kristen will be in Japan for much of the week to promote the final film of the Twilight series.
While Kristen is in Japan, Rob is in Sydney, Australia. Earlier today he took part in the photocall and premiere for Breaking Dawn – Part 2.
The British heartthrob shared about having an exhausting period when filming the climatic battle scene between the Cullens and the Volturi. “This one was hard,” he recalled. “I mean, we were shooting this big action sequence for about two and a half months in a massive warehouse where they normally sell cows, with a bunch of fake paper snow and green walls, and you literally started to go insane after a while! Yeah, it gets tough doing stuff like that, it gets a bit repetitive.”
During the chat, Rob also dished on his girlfriend Kristen Stewart’s new role as a vampire. “Yeah, she was really excited about being a vampire. Everybody else who’d been pretty consistently in the movies, they’d obviously been playing a vampire like every day for ages. And so it’s funny seeing someone suddenly come into it and try and figure out their own version of the physicality and the mentality of it.”
“But her character has a different thing, because she’s supposed to find it really easy,” the 26-year-old actor went on explaining. “It’s supposed to be a natural progression for her to become a vampire, it’s supposed to be simple. So I guess it was kind of different.”
We cannot wait until the final film opens in theaters on November 15.
