Rihanna Addresses Necklace, Hates Bloggers
Rihanna appeared last night on David Letterman’s show performing her new single “What’s My Name,” which features the rapper Drake – whom she decided to clear up some rumors about while talking to one of New York’s radio shows.
Appearing in a weird bathing suit-ish outfit and that long red hair (anyone else reminded of a 1960s Tina Turner?), the singer responded to the now infamous ‘Fuck You’ necklace and gets nasty about bloggers.
She explained the ‘Fuck You’ necklace she was photographed in the other day, explaining that they stopped her on the street as she was leaving dinner.
“I never tell kids ‘no’ when it comes to pictures or autographs. The last thing I’m thinking about is my necklace.” Fair enough.
And as far as Drake is concerned, she added that “he doesn’t know what he’s talking about. We just became friends and we left it at that. We get along really well.”
As for the blogging community – which makes her popular mind you – she said that she reads them sometimes, but said:
It’s a community for people who don’t have anything else to do and hate themselves, they hate their life, they hate their job, they hate their appearance, they are uncomfortable with who they are so what makes them feel good is talking smack about other people who they think they will never ever see in their life and they happen to be celebrities. It seems impossible to ever have the opportunity to say these things to their face, so they get to hide behind their computer.
She said the most hurtful thing she has ever read about herself was that people were saying the scar on her lip was a result of STDs. “To see that they turned it into that, really hurt.”
