Ricky Martin Kicks Off World AIDS Day, Headed To Australia For ‘The Voice’ [PHOTOS]
The singer turned actor was spotted on the red carpet last night kicking off World Aids Day in New York City. The event, held every December 1 since 1988, helps to raise awareness for HIV/AIDS. Ricky was all about helping last night as he sported a bright red shirt with “Everyday Is World AIDS Day” on it.
Ricky partnered with MAC for the event to help raise awareness and money for AIDS research. Look at him, sexy smile, ridiculously adorable family and a giver. Love it. Now, what’s this about Ricky going to Australia?
Well, it’s true! According to reports, Ricky will be leaving his stint as Che in the Broadway revival of Evita on January 26 to head down under as a judge on The Voice. I’m really hoping the Australian version will be easy to watch over here, because that sounds awesome. Although! Maybe if he does really where in Australia, he can become one of the rotating judges on the American version.
Don’t expect Ricky to be too harsh though. As he told reporters, “I don’t believe in tough love. I believe in love, and I believe in being nurturing to new talented men and women.” Well yay.
