Let’s be honest, getting fired from a job is never fun. And especially not fun when you’re fired from a multi-million dollar franchise and everyone knows about it. So it was quite refreshing to see former The Real Housewives of New York City star Jill Zarin being surprising calm and level headed when talking to Good Morning America about being bumped from the show.
Jill wasn’t the only one asked to not come back. It was confirmed this week that three of her co-stars were also not asked back. Jill said of the firing, in a video that can be seen after the jump, “It was a little jolting. I’ll be honest. It didn’t feel good. Nobody likes to not be asked back to the party.”
We all know Jill is incredibly outspoken–do you remember the RHONYC finale? Drama–but Jill’s not sure that’s what caused her to be dropped. Why was she dropped? “I didn’t really ask. It didn’t matter. They had made their decision.” Sure Jill caused some drama, but as she said, it’s what we want, “There’s no question there was fighting going on. But I believe the format of the show encourages that. And even if someone doesn’t say to you to have a fight or whatever, you feel like you’re supposed to. The ratings encourage that. It’s a toxic environment. It took me months to come down from it.”
Will you guys watch the show now that four of the most entertaining wives are gone? Jill was actually my favorite so I feel like it’s not really worth it. Jill even went on The Wendy Williams Show to talk about it (pictures in the gallery). Check out the video of Jill’s interview after the jump and tell us what you think in the comments.
