Reese Witherspoon And Robert Pattinson Make The Perfect Co-Stars
Reese Witherspoon and Robert Pattinson were fully booked yesterday, splitting time between a press junket in Santa Monica and presenting at the Academy Of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas. Witherspoon, who married fiance Jim Toth last weekend, had to postpone her honeymoon due to press tours for Water For Elephants (which looks like it will not disappoint).
The co-stars sat down with Access Hollywood (watch the interview videos after the jump) and seemed to play off one another quite well. Witherspoon joked that she and Pattinson were thinking of skipping the plane ride to Vegas and hitting the open road. “I’ve got a six-pack and he’s bringing the cigarettes,” Reese explained. “We’re going to rage like, with an iPod. I’m going to blast the country music – he’s super-duper into it.”
“Damn it — we said it!” Pattinson shouted.
I’m sure the Twihards are aware of this fun fact, but did the rest of you know that Pattinson and Witherspoon worked together on 2004’s Vanity Fair? Pattinson played Witherspoon’s son, BUT his scenes never made it into the film.
“I didn’t understand what was going on at the time while we were shooting it, and then I was invited to the premiere and I was cut out of it,” he explained to Access.
Note to the studio: time to rerelease the Vanity Fair DVD, complete with Pattinson’s deleted scenes.
