Stop it. Word on the street (and by street, I mean The Hollywood Reporter) is that Rachel Zoe might get a sitcom. The celebrity stylist, whose Bravo reality show is heading into its fifth season, is set to executive produce a half-hour scripted project for NBC.
The show, based on her life, will no doubt be mind-boggling and full of Zoeisms (“bananas,” “I die”). Zoe’s husband, Rodger Berman will also serve as executive producer, as will BermanBraun’s Gail Berman and Lloyd Braun. Aseem Batra (Animal Practice, Scrubs) will write the pilot, and Tod Holland (30 Rock, Go On) will direct.
The sitcom will be a fictional version of Zoe’s career and marriage, and one can only hope the dramatic split with assistants Taylor Jacobson and Brad Goreski will be written in the script.
