‘Public Enemies’ Premiere In London Attracts ‘New Moon’ Star

June 29th, 2009 // 12 Comments

For the London premiere of her latest film, Public Enemies, French actress Marion Cotillard opted for a traffic-stopping red satin dress and a pair of retro-style black high heels. The Oscar winner posed alongside director Michael Mann at the Empire Leicester Square with a subtle smile on her face. Mor than anything, she seems to be feeling very adventurous with her hair as of late.

Johnny Depp was predictably handsome with his hair casually styled, in a suit with his trademark sunglasses and cheekbones that never quit. Interestingly enough, his on-screen foe Christian Bale said that the two were so entrenched in their roles, that they never got a chance to get friendly.

“I wish to not talk unless we’re doing the scene. I enjoy it that way.
Johnny seemed happy to do it that way, too. So the answer is: No, we
really didn’t get to know each other better between each take,” Bale said in an interview.

Young New Moon actor Jamie Campbell Bower was also in attendance at the event, as well, looking like he arrived via speedboat. His hair was wildly wind-swept and he was sporting a bit of a sunburn. Vampires really should be careful to use a high SPF, you know.

marion is looking kinda like emily blunt with the hair but I love her dress!

Wow, from a Tori and Dean (not including kiddies) post to a Johnny Depp and Marion red carpet event post…now that’s a jump up the image and star quality ladder. Johnny and Marion are a rare breed in Hollywood. Younger ones take note of how to age gracefully with class and integrity in the industry.

I could look at Johnny forever.

Okay, I will starting right now.

I swear, the more and more I hear from Christian Bale the more and more like an ass he sounds.

  5. Lindz

i know, right meg? that’s just what i was thinking.

I totally agree. I can understand that some actors need to “prepare” or whatever the heck they do to summon their characters before and during takes. But really, Christians “acting” usually just involves intense gimacing stares and a terse annoying monotoone speaking voice. It seems like he is just really an ego driven ba$tard. Whatever happened to the nice guy who played Theodore Laurence in little women?!?

Well, i respectfully disagree. Both Christian and Johnny decided not to talk a lot between takes, they were Ok with it. But you people can’t seem to let it go. Bashing Christian is getting old, seriously. He’s a great actor and seems like a nice and honest person, as is Johnny.

I am sure christian is nice enough… once you get to know him, but he comes across as fairly unpleasant at first. I mean, even though it may have been mutual to not engage in small talk, depp still talks highly of bale in interviews, whereas bale simply says he doesn’t know him, which seems odd.

If you are a fan of Bale as long as some of us…you would know that all this CRAP that is being said is just that. There is not a more talented actor right now or nicer person in the industry..hands down. So keep believin the paps and rags..small minds will. I guess mediocrity has to serve someone at the end of the day.

As much as I love your impassioned defense of an actor you don’t know either…I am basing my opinion on interviews that he has given personally. I just don’t like him and he seems to be a self-ritious ass to me. I’m sorry that I don’t agree with your opinion about your close personal friend Christian Bale.

    Self-righteous – sorry

    Self-righteous…fingers got away with me!!
