Prince Harry made his way from Windsor Castle to St. George’s Chapel today (March 30th) in Windsor, England to take part in a thanksgiving service to mark the tenth anniversary of HM Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother and HRH Princess Margaret‘s deaths.  Mother and daughter passed away within weeks of each other back in 2002, the same year that Queen Elizabeth celebrate her Golden Jubilee.

Harry was accompanied by Princess Beatrice, Princess Anne and husband Timothy Laurence, Sophie, Countess of Wessex, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, Prince Andrew, Duke of York, Princess Eugenie, and Prince Charles, Prince of Wales.

Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex was in France on business, while Autumn and Peter Phillips welcomed Her Majesty’s second great-grandchild, Isla Elizabeth Phillips yesterday in Gloucestershire.  The little one is officially 13th in line to the throne, behind older sister, Savannah Phillips.

Meanwhile, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are skiing in Meribel, France with Catherine’s family.  It’s reported that Pippa Middleton invited old Edinburgh pal and rumored boyfriend George Percy along.

The second great-grandchild is a perfect gift for the Queen’s jubilee. I follow the events in England and it seems that not a single day goes by without a new revelation of something that will contribute to the jubilee celebrations and I have to say that the organizers have done a great job thus far. One of the most positive things is that the celebrations will take place not only in London but all around the world. That’s why I think it’s great that the members of the Royal family have been promoting the jubilee in the Commonwealth countries as well. The bond between Canada and Queen Elizabeth has always been very strong and the jubilee is a great opportunity to celebrate her life as well as the values that we and the British have in common.
