What’s better than Prince Harry in Brazil?
Prince Harry bonding with the children of Brazil and getting super emotional about it. Be warned, you might wanna grab your tissues for this. In addition to visiting folks in a rehabilitation center and meeting with children in the Atlantic Rainforest–where I should mention he got all sweaty–Prince Harry also visited the ACER Charity for disadvantaged children.
The group aids children who have lost either one or both parents for any number of reasons–something Prince Harry was able to relate to.
Harry, who lost his mother Princess Diana when he was 12, told reporters, “There are two little girls—I’m quite emotional—just looking at them I wanted to talk about my own experiences.” The two girls Harry was referring to are sisters being raised by their grandmother after their mother was murdered and their father put in jail on drug charges. That’s heavy stuff for kids to deal with.
“The bravery of them looking at me, smiling at me… I wanted to use my own experiences in a very small way to try to give them a bit of understanding about the fact [that] I see what [they're] going through. But you hear the stories and think that’s nothing to what they have been through.”
Yeah, OK, I’ll just be over here crying. Once you’ve wiped the tears from your eyes, launch the gallery to check out all the photos from today’s events. That Prince Harry. He is really awesome.
