Girl Power Uplifts Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show

November 16th, 2007 // 1 Comment

For the first time in about a decade, the Spice Girls reunited on stage as a group and the occasion was the annual televised Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. Amidst the wings and boobies, the ladies were a major draw for celebrity fans who gushed over the performance. “Heroes” star, Hayden Panettiere, gushed about the experience, telling People magazine:

“I was dancing and singing along. I loved it.”

“The Spice Girls were great. I knew every word to the first song. Enough said.”

The girls were decked out in vintage WWII-themed glam costumes, to perform their military-inspired dance track, “Stop” and also performed the ballad “Headlines (Friendship Never Ends),” both from their new album. Before they hit the stage, Geri Halliwell declared, “We’re so excited!” and the girls also received a shout-out from “Desperate Housewives” star, Eva Longoria:

“I’m here to support Victoria.

“Go Spice Girls!”

Yeah, girl power! I’m so sad that their tickets are WAY too expensive for me to justify a purchase, but whatever, I’m all about wacky, over-the-top pop-star goodness, so it’s good to see the girls out and about again.
