Pippa Middleton Tops The UK’s Celebrity Fashion Charts

May 25th, 2011 // 2 Comments

Pippa Middleton beat out The X-Factor‘s Cheryl Cole as the most searched gal on the celebrity style charts, according to MyCelebrityFashion.co.uk.

The Mirror reports that HRH Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge’s little sister is the most searched-for celebrity on the fashion site, even coming out ahead of the Duchess herself.  After Pipps, the top celebs fashionably searched for in the past three months are:

2. Frankie Sandford
3. Sam Faiers
4. Fearne Cotton
5. Cheryl Cole
6. Kate Middleton
7. Amy Childs
8. Vanessa Hudgens
9. Alexa Chung
10. Jessie J

Do you agree with these top fashion choices?  I’m going to be taken out to the fields and shot for this next statement, but it has to be said: I don’t believe that the Middleton sisters are very fashionable.

They dress very nicely, but play it to way too safe.  I’m not suggesting Pippa and Kate slut it up or go commando while exiting a town car, but putting a little sparkle in their step every now and then wouldn’t hurt.  Case in point: Pippa’s simple color-block skirt with a cardy and Gucci shades today in London.  Cute, but certainly not trend-setting.

That said, the two looked amazing on Catherine’s wedding day.

being stylish is not about being a trendsetter, really. while I don’t think this list represents the most stylish women neccessarily, I do think a lot of these girls do look good and put together in their very own personal everyday style, not always having the need to schizophrenically follow the latest fashion craze. thus it makes more sense that people want to emulate pippa and kate’s simple, effortless yet impeccable style in their every day wardrobe, than that of the more conceptually on-trend girls like say kate bosworth or a stage performer like rihanna.
