Pippa Middleton, the 27 year-old younger sister of the future queen, and her teammates made a royal entrance to the Highland Cross Challenge, a 50-mile charity race. The group raised a few eyebrows when they opted to fly a $1,600 per hour private helicopter to the start line, rather than take the standard two-and-a-half scenic route by car. The charity duathlon is a 20-mile run combined with a 30-mile cycle that raises money for charitable organizations in Highland region.
Middleton, the trending sister of the Duchess of Cambridge, comment on the race by saying,
“It was one of the toughest things I have done. I don’t know if I will do it again but I am really pleased to have finished.”
As shown in the gallery above, the newly famed socialite and fashionista looked sporty clad in a silver baseball hat, black singlet, and silver and pink running shoes. Respectively, Pippa finished the grueling race, through Scotland’s most rugged and beautiful territory, in the top 15 women category out of the nearly 160 other female competitors. Middleton is no stranger to athleticism as she won an athletic scholarship to Marlborough College and recently competed in a triathlon at Blenheim Palace.
