What a strange season this has been. And week 5 turned even stranger when Petra Nemcova and partner Dmitry Chaplin — and NOT Kendra Wilkinson and Louis Van Amstel — were eliminated from the competition, after being grouped in the bottom three with Chris Jericho and Cheryl Burke, and Kirstie Alley and Maks Chmerkovskiy.
A shaky quick-step led to supermodel Petra Nemcova’s exit from the ‘Dancing with the Stars’ competition last night after being atop the leader board just a few weeks ago.
Nemcova erred in some of her footwork in Monday’s live performance, exclaiming “Sorry, I messed up” to partner Dmitry Chaplin, with whom she developed a close relationship this season.
“This has been a life changing journey for me,” Nemcova said. “I never knew I could push my body so far.”
More from the show…
To Nemcova’s credit, the judges said she did not deserve to go home. Models in general don’t fare well on the show. Paulina Porizkova was ousted her first week season four. So was Josie Maran season five. Kathy Ireland was third out season nine.
Unless something odd happens next week, Kendra is probably next to go home.
