Penelope Cruz received her star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame today and was feted by co-star Johnny Depp, who stopped by the ceremony to say a few word about the Oscar winner. Clad in a form-fitting L’Wren Scott dress and topped off with Louboutins, Cruz graciously accepted her star in front of the El Capitan Theater on Hollywood Boulevard. Also at the event was Cruz’s husband, Javier Bardem, looking dapper and delicious in a navy blazer and aviators. Cruz is the 2, 436th person to receive a star on the Walk Of Fame.
Depp gave a nice speech about his Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides co-star, whom he also worked starred opposite 2001′s Blow. Cruz returned the favor by acknowledging her friend:
“I want to thank the man with the hat. Let me tell you about the man with the hat. I came to Los Angeles for the first time in 1994, I spoke no English. I only knew how to say two things, two sentences. One was, ‘How are you?’, the other one was, ‘I want to work with Johnny Depp. In the last 10 years I have worked with him twice and that has improved my English, so now I know how to say, ‘I want to work with Johnny Depp again!’”
In 2009 Cruz won an Academy Award for her supporting role in Vicki Cristina Barcelona. This past January she gave birth to a baby boy, Leo Encinas.
