A motley crew hit the New York City premiere of The Devil’s Double at SVA Theater last night (July 25) in New York City.
While Dominic may have looked pretty at the premiere, his roles in the film weren’t pretty at all. He played dual characters in the biographical drama about Iraqi army lieutenant Latif Yahia being ordered to become the body double of Saddam Hussein’s son Uday.
In reality, the actor made a conscious effort to ensure viewers could distinguish between Latif and Uday. He spent a particularly long time working on the differences in accent.
“The vocality changes in the two men will help you differentiate between them, and the body language too. You have to be sure who you are watching at any given time. I wanted that to be clear,” explained Dominic.
