Paris Hilton’s Friend Jennifer Rovero Has Her Say

June 9th, 2007 // 36 Comments

Yeah, never hear of her either. After a little Google search, it was determined that she’s a Playboy model – glad to see that the Playboy models are in Paris’ corner. Anyway, wrote and open letter which was posted on TMZ.

I would like to address the media regarding one of my dearest friends, Paris Hilton. I have been by her side up until she turned herself over to authorities and the last 24 hours since being put on probation. I was also
in the courtroom [yesterday] and saw a judge hand down a sentence that NO ONE in an even remotely similar position would receive!

Sheriff Baca is coming from a place of knowledge with regard to his prisons and his prisoners well-being. We should trust in him. He is a stand up man who was voted into office. He was not being generous. He was being practical and just, and speaking from years of experience on the front lines of L.A. justice. It’s clear as day that her stay has impacted her greatly.

She is a forever changed woman.

The letter continues after the jump.

The MTV Movie Awards was merely a diversion to be able to surrender in privacy and not stir up any commotion. PERIOD. Jail was on her mind, NOT a celebration!

Also, I would like to set the record straight that there was no party in motion for this weekend. When she was released she was still very upset, to the point of being physically ill — and partying was the furthest thing from her mind. She is a loving and sweet soul with a big heart whose character has been misjudged because she was born into a family of wealth and, yes privilege. Now, I ask you to please stop for a moment and try to analyze why it is that you are so troubled by her?

Surely there is a more just way that she can atone for what she has done and not for who she is.

Sincerely,

Jennifer Rovero

Only a retard would use “impact” as a verb. Someone tell the slut to shut her face. Or her legs. One of the two, just shut something before the flies start buzzing.

  2. jesse d

“Impact” can most definitely be used as a verb OR a subject. LOL

  3. the part that pisses me off is any site bothered to post an open letter for Paris puked out by a naked tart whining about the publicity poor paris is getting. Paris is reaping what she has sown for the last decade.

this chick is just pissed because she can’t get in anywhere “trendy” with Paris locked away.

I dont want any harm to come to paris hilton,is a matter of fact after she gets out of jail,I would like to meet her,But I am getting tired of seeing these rich & famous people getting special treatment when it comes to the law and jail time, whats good for one,is good for all,and Im sorry, but she broke the law and now she has to pay for her actions.

When you violate probation twice, show up late to your court hearing, and then the best response you can give to a judge is “I’m very busy.” and “I don’t read” you deserve a harsher sentence. She’s a dumbass.

  6. k

I understood it to be four probation violations: the first time, she was pulled over for making an illegal turn, was found to be driving under suspension and was let off with a warning. The second and third violations were additional episodes of driving while under suspension and she was cited for them (she was pulled over for not having licence plates on one of these occasions and for driving without headlights for the other) and the fourth was not signing up for the court-ordered alcohol education program.

Oh, great. Now we have the trolls coming out from under the rocks hoping to score brownie points with the “cool crowd”. *Puke*

Paris Hilton still, after having spent three days behind bars, expected the courts to step aside and turn a blind eye to her misdeeds. She tried to phone in her court appearance, and then, made the courts wait on her lazy ass when she was late – after being ordered by the judge to get herself into the courtroom.

What this jackrabbit isn’t pointing out is that anyone else in Paris’ shoes would be slammed much harsher than she has been in this situation. Her wealth and priveledge allowed her to get as many warnings as she did. Having a mental breakdown in jail? Yeah – that’s what jail does – scare the shit out of you. *There’s a reason for that*. There’s also a jail medical facility she could go to, rather than the frills and fluffy pillows of her bedroom at home.

And also – this Sheriff Barney Fife didn’t have the authority to overrule the courts and let her go. I understood it per the newspapers and legal figures on the news networks, that he could make his recommendation, but ultimately it would be up to the courts, not him. Besides, what kind of idiot would think Paris would suffer at all in the luxury of her stupid Hollywood Hills home? What? She can’t go out clubbing – oh, darn. She’d just invite all of hollywood to come over for jello shots and a barbecue. What’s punishment about sitting around all day with maids and cooks and being waited on hand and foot?

Welcome to the real world, Miss Hilton. That silver spoon up your ass? It’s about to become dislodged. Don’t drop the soap, cher.

Blistering ass herpes is apparently even more of a bitch than karma. Just a rumour, mind you, but the best one yet. I sure had fun spreading it, and even coming from “a friend of a friend of a friend of a friend,” I’m still not convinced it’s entirely fake.

Here’s the thing: everyone keeps saying how anyone else would be getting much more time; has anyone actually researched this? In fact, she has ALREADY served more time than most other people who were found GUILTY of her charges. Remember, her time is based on the charges of which she is guilty, NOT on everything she has done in the past.

I’m not a huge fan of hers by any means. But man, I think it’s sick how many people are taking such joy in watching the girl cry. I’d rather see her on house arrest so there is room for, say, a pedophile in the jail, frankly.

I totally agree that the sheriff fucked up and abused his position. But I also think that the judge bringing her back was part of a ridiculous whose-got-the-biggest-dick-now contest. Now she is being made an example of, and I really don’t think the crime fits the time. Yeah, she’s a spoiled rotten rich bitch who is seemingly pretty damn dumb. Given all that, whose fault is it REALLY that she turned out that way? That she never learned to take responsibility? I blame the parents. If Paris was brighter, I might say she should have learned better at her age, but combine the dim bulb she’s got with the upbringing she’s had, and um, yeah, i don’t think she learned much. So I believe that she is not faking when she cries and freaks out and almost breaks down. She has gone from a life of privelege, to a glass wall in front of her toilet. For someone as simple as her, I think it’s a pretty traumatic experience. While I enjoy reading about her antics, I can’t say I waste much energy actually HATING her. It’s pretty freaky that so many people do.

  10. SARAH

    AMEN! HEATHER!!
YOU TOOK THE WORDS RIGHT OUTTA MY MOUTH!
You’ve got to make some sort of effort in court. Give the judge a reason NOT to send you to jail…..don’t hand him 5 reasons on a silver platter.

  11. misschriss

I can’t believe some of these comments! You all are so judgmental and vindictive towards a person you don’t even personally know. I feel bad for her purely because she is a human being and it obvious she is hurting. Yes she did things wrong but a lot of people do and I do think she is getting an unfair punishment because she is famous. Maybe she is slutty maybe she does sleep around but unless she’s screwing your boyfriend shut the fuck up because I am sick of hearing your brainless babble.

  12. DAR

Paris Hilton is the village idiot! My father is the grandson of a
well-known east coast banking family and none of us would be allowed
to act like Paris. My mother met Mrs. Hilton (Kathy) at a fundraiser and I heard to her tell my Dad that she is “gauche and ill-bred”. My family has been in America since 1689, the Hiltons started their company in 1919 and in TEXAS of all places! You won’t find the name “Hilton” in the social register…look it up, it is NOT there. Paris has said on tape that “poor people” are beneath her. She doesn’t know what real American blue-bloods are saying about her and her family. Money doesn’t buy class and breeding, darling. You prove that out.

  13. JBONZ

“Coming from a place of knowledge”?
So L.A. has a New Age quartz-crystal-totin’ Sheriff who uses intuition and aura vibrations to determine who ought to be in jail, eh? And we should not let a bunch of “judges” judge us but instead put our trust in Buford “Starchild” Pusser.
Glad to know that California is still on the cutting edge of societal evolution.

  14. J

Why am I so troubled by her? Let’s see, she doesn’t have a job but has a ridiculous amount of money, she’s been publically racist and nothing’s happened, she’s been caught being bad a handful of times and let off, she’s only famous because of her money, she’s skanky, she needs to eat a sandwich, um… hmm… Basically she’s a talentless whore who is riding her family name (and several cocks) and she doesn’t deserve anything she has. She whines and cries and money is tossed out and she’s out of jail against the court’s order. Oh, and her friends are skanky Playboy models.

  15. emmy

Parasite is a worthless mediawhore. She has spent years desperately trying to become a celebrity and get attention. Now she is the centre of attention.
She is famous for having herpes, spreading them to anybody vile enough to shag her, driving under the influence of alcohal/drugs, bad sex tapes, an ugly crotch, being a spoilt, narcissistic, entitled, immature, diseased little brat, everybody has an opinion on her now.
    That’s what she wanted.
When released from prison I’m sure that Valtrax will be happy to have her as their spokesperson – she is they’re most famous customer!

  16. Mizz Thang

It makes me sick that people think they can endanger the lives of others, then show such disdain for the law by still driving around on a suspended license. She made the decision to drink and drive–putting everyone around her in danger–when the dumb ho has more than enough money to take a cab to the damn burger joint. And by the way you stupid Playboy bunny: no one knows or cares who you are (I guess you find spreading your legs for money some sort of qualification to dispense legal advice), and the sentence should read “…the prisoners’ (with an apostrophe, you idiot), and “well-being” means “state of one’s happiness” which is not the job of anyone paid with our taxes.

  17. quality qrap

“Now, I ask you to please stop for a moment and try to analyze why it is that you are so troubled by her?”

because, Jennifer, I can smell her Herpes from Chicago. ‘Nuff said.

  18. mabbo

Larry King had a sheriff on his show the other night and this sheriff said he had women in his jail serving up to 6 months for DUI and probation violations. So I suspect that Paris Hilton is getting what she deserves. Had she obeyed her court orders to begin with she would not be in this mess. But she is a spoiled bitch and takes pride in being one; it’s what her whole image is based on. Oh, and “Impact” CANNOT be used as a verb! Ask any English professor. Grrrrr.

  19. Mizz Thang

    Mabbo:

I am an English professor, and it IS legit to use it. Just awkward and a bad choice of wording.

Who the FUCK is Jennifer Rovero?

I’d rather see her on house arrest so there is room for, say, a pedophile in the jail, frankly.

Do you think that they are letting female pedophiles loose because Paris Hilton is serving time for probation violations???? Or any criminal?? Trust me when I say they have plenty of room for everyone. She’s a conceited monster, who is having a tantrum because the judge won’t let her have any special treatment, which she got anyway by being house solo rather than sharing a cell.

She’s being punished because she believes the laws don’t apply to her, she just got schooled those laws do apply to her. They might have come from money but none of the Hilton’s have any class.

  22. LoRider

I was going to post something pithy and well thought-out, but it’s late so Jennifer Rovero can go phuck herself. Ride Lo

  23. Mary

Erm, earth to the intelligent Playboy ‘model’ (eww, I hate referring to them as models – Giselle is a model, not this idiot)…

PRISON IS SUPPOSED TO IMPACT ON A PRISONER! If it doesnt, its obviously not a very good punishment is it now?

  24. mingo

In response to isbn’s query as to whether anyone has actually researched whether Paris Hilton received more, less, or the same amount of time as others in her position, I can answer that she is not being treated unfairly. I have been a prosecuting attorney for almost 13 years, spent the first few years of my career handling DUI and suspended license prosecutions, and regularly handle cases in which probationers vioate the terms of their probation. Paris Hilton’s sentence was appropriate in that she had multiple violations which included both technical violations (i.e., not undergoing court ordered-treatment) and multiple substantive violations (committing new criminal violations.) She actually received a break in that it appears the prosecutor did not file new, separate charges for driving while her license was suspended (something that could have been done in addition to the probation violation and for which she could have received an entirely separate sentence)but instead proceeded only on the probation violation. She showed contempt for the court, its proceedings, and its orders. I have personally handled cases in which persons who have done less to violate probation have served more time than that to which she has been ordered. Had she been housed in this county, whatever “medical condition” she claimed, unless life-threatening, would have been handled by the jail medical staff. If the condition arose to the point that her physical or mental health was in jeopardy (other than something requiring emergent care) our office, her defense counsel, and the judge would have all been notified and a decision would have been made as to whether she would be released on home confinement. I think it’s important to keep in mind that the judge in this case specifically ordered she was not to be released on an electronic monitor and that the sheriff contravened a direct court order. Finally, I would just like to point out that while some believe Paris is being treated too harshly, her actions constituted a series of crimes. DUI is a serious crime and can have serious consequences. I have prosecuted cases in which innocent travelers have been paralyzed, lost limbs, and lost lives because another person chose to drive under the influence of alcohol. Whether you love Paris, loathe Paris, or are as indifferent about Paris as I, the reality is that her sentence was just and her attempts prior to reporting to jail and since reporting to jail are indicative of one who thinks the rules don’t apply to her. Regardless, it is time for all who think she was punished unfairly to realize she has received a fair sentence.

  25. mingo

Before someone else points it out, I will clarify that I am aware Paris Hilton’s conviction is for reckless driving, not DUI; however, her blood alcohol concentration at the time of her arrest shows she did commit that offense, even if she was not convicted of the offense of DUI. Nevertheless, her actions the night she drove under the influence of alcohol still posed a very real risk to others.

  26. Attila

I got a DUI arrest once; I was at the legal limit 0.8. They fried my ass, I paid a fee and I got a sentence of six months in jail with probation for three years! If I wouldn’t go to the therapy or AA, I’d received the full sentence in jail! Not because I was driving twice without license, just because I missed the rehabilitation! I am pretty sure a lot of average poor (maybe even white) people are in jail for less!

Read a little psychology, if you allow a rat like this to invade our collective unconscious, your daughter or son will end up the same way! You don’t know it, but as long as you see this … every day, she is living inside your head, pushing the furniture around! Who know how the room will look like when she finally departs… Good old Sigmund where are you when we need you?

I gotta get to ALL of Paris’s courtroom appearances…

  29. Guy

P-heady blew her last chance when she thought she could phone in her friggin testimony. As many have pointed out, if it were any of us, we’d be buried UNDER the jail, not sent home to party with more upper class scumwads.

This dumb whore is just as completely out of touch as Paris is and needs her own little wake-up call.

As far as Sherrif Boner goes, he needs to be impeached. Helloooo! Sherrif! Not judge or city attorney. You don’t give or modify sentences, you uphold the law! The law that is handed to you by those same judges and attorneys. Do your job and quit taking bribes a-hole.

Jennifer Rover thinks she is doing Paris a favour by openly speaking for her. I guess she did not see the speech given by Paris where she is “owing up” and has admitted her wrong doing and her wish that other would learn from her experience.

Jennifer is only doing more dis-service to Paris right now.

My advice to Jennifer is that she should wait till when Paris comes out before the continue with whatever plans they have. But for now and till the expiration of her sentence, she should just shut up.

Someone tell Jennifer Rovero that you aren’t considered friends with Paris if all she did was ignore you when you shouted her name while standing in line at Hyde.

    Hello from Toronto……
We are totally with Jennifer Rovero on this issue. We have written a letter of support to Paris, but, are unaware of the proper/appropriate address for Paris to ensure that she receives this letter. Any assistance would be appreciated
    traceyandchris@rogers.com

    To Chris and Tracey…

You are on the wrong blog, maybe you should go to http://www.pariskissass.com

Well just as I thought.. you all base your information on what you read and of course cause normally ignorant people do… but hey all you haters, we want to thank you for taking the time to read and follow up on Paris cause good or bad your still thinking about her and buying her info… and making her the most read person and that turns into major dollars.
Go read the bible and tell me if your ass can throw the first stone and who the F*** are you to judge anyone at all.
Jennifer Rovero… we admire your friendship and courage to stand for Paris when all her other so called friends were afraid to get drug down and lose their so call status…only friends when she is up…
Hopefully Paris will see who her true friends are at a moment like this.. and for the haters… keep writing cause I can tell you neither one of them are reading your ignorant comments. Hell has your place kept warm for you.
God Bless Paris and Jennifer!!!! and all that have the good in them to support her and stand by her or anyone in need.

Jennifer IS a close friend of Paris Hilton’s. She has known her before Paris became “famous.” Jennifer just isn’t a media whore or quick to get in photos when the paparazzi is around. I can’t believe how many judgmental, jealous, ugly, low life losers are out there in the blogger world. Those of you calling Jennifer names without knowing her are purely jealous and probably ugly people inside and out. Jennifer is a kind, intelligent, cultured, generous and very witty girl. I grew up with her, have been on Hawaiian tropic modeling assignments with her and have known her for 14 years.

Only girls that are insecure, unattractive, and have low self esteem and would call her names (Deep down you know you would pose for Playboy if you had the body or the face which you know you don’t and never will)…and as far as the guys leaving rude comments.. you were probably the pimply faced dork (with a small member, might I add) in school that the hot girls would never talk to and STILL won’t…..ass holes!!
