Prince Michael, Blanket and Paris Jackson joined their aunt, LaToya Jackson at the Mr. Pink Ginseng Drink Launch Party in Beverly Hills last night. Paris looked older than her age in heavy eye makeup, and sported long locks on the red carpet, a much different look from the ‘do she tweeted earlier in the month. That turned out to be a wig.
Despite facing discouragement from those around her to go into show business, Paris is forging ahead. ”A lot of people don’t want me to do it, but Aunt La Toya believes in me.” Jackson told Glamour. “She heard me play a little guitar and sing, and she started clapping, ‘Oh my God, oh my God.’
“She really does encourage me; it’s just awesome of her.”
Though the 14-year-old wants to carry on her father’s legacy, Jackson wants to step out of the legend’s shadow.
“A lot of people think he’s the only reason I’m making it, but I want to show that I do have talent and that I can make it if I try. I want to be my own person.”
