‘Our Idiot Brother’ and ‘Colombiana’ an Unlikely Pair to Top Box Office

The Help, poised to take box office number one for the third weekend in a row, is more of a reason for Emma Stone to be elated than yesterday’s confession of love from Jim Carrey. But hey, if the 27-year difference doesn’t bother her, then we won’t judge either!

With Hurricane Irene cruising up the east coast, this weekend’s box office releases won’t give The Help much competition, but at least Our Idiot Brother, Colombiana, and Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark are more realistic story lines than Anne Hathaway with a British accent!

Our Idiot Brother is the R-rated comedy starring Paul Rudd, where he plays the naive brother to Elizabeth Banks, Zooey Deschanel, and Emily Mortimer.

Colombiana stars Zoe Saldana as the unlikely female superhero that only women could love and men could lust for as she avenges her parents’ death.

And last but certainly not least is the comedy Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark starring Katie Holmes –err wait a minute. Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark is actually an R-rated horror film. It’s two year delay, according to The Los Angeles Times, and front women choice Katie Holmes is what makes this film funny over dark!
