Welcome to SOCIALITE LIFE’s exclusive interview with Glee: The 3D Concert Movie director Kevin Tancharoen! The man of the hour is a veteran director/dancer/choreographer/television producer who’s worked with the likes of Madonna and Britney Spears.
Tancharoen’s career as a film director was directly influenced by his success as a creative head of Spears’ music videos and tour dance routines, eventually leading him to an American Choreography Award nomination. As an accomplished dancer himself, Tancharoen utilized his aptitude for dance, as well as production, to become a successful choreographer, something he would be able to translate to success on the silver screen. His breakthrough title was the remake of the ‘80’s film Fame, which hit theatres in 2009. He also directed a short called Mortal Kombat: Rebirth, in an attempt to show producers how real his vision of a series reboot truly was. Tancharoen’s passion for making films is matched only by his interest in discovering the behind the scenes secrets of the great filmmakers which constantly allows him to rework and fix his only technique.
