The 81st Annual Oscar Nominations are finally in!

No huge stop-the-presses surprises here. The Curious Case of Benjamin Button is the clear favorite with 13 nominations, including, yes, an Oscar nomination for Brad Pitt. Keeping Brad company: Sean Penn, Mickey Rourke, Frank Langella and Richard Jenkins.

Brad’s lady pal in crime, Angelina Jolie, was nominated for best actress, alongside Anne Hathaway, Meryl Streep, Melissa Leo, and Kate Winslet.

Heath Ledger kept up his posthumous streak with a nomination for supporting actor in Dark Knight while Penelope Cruz and Amy Adams were both nominated in the supporting actress category.

Indie favorite Slumdog Millionaire also did incredibly well with 10 nominations as did The Dark Knight with 8 nominations.

I can;t believe Leo is snubbed again!!! Brad and Angie should NEVER have gotten an OSCAR nod for their performance in the BB and Changeling, it’s attrocious, bogus and undeserving. How can Leo DeCapiro be snubbed everytime when these two talentless, media whores Satanist are nominated for their mediocre acting abilities. What exactly are they being rewarded for?? Is it their ability to deceive the the world, their pimping of their children, their narcissits approach to life, their faux humanitarian, their selfish and adulterous relationship, their political aspiration, or because they are media whores who bought and have a strangle hold on the media for postive PR or is it becuz angie is a member of CFR?? Please someone tell me why brad and angie are nominated instead of all the other talented actresses and actors. The OSCAR and all the other awards are a SHAM and it should be BOYCOTTED by the public to make a point that rewards should be given to those who deserves it not for HW politics and should not be for sale. I am seriously disgusted.

I agree Dale, why wasn’t Leo nominated. His performance in Revolutionary Road was excellent. Depressing movie but good acting. I found Benjamin Button a bit slow and boring. It probably had a little to do with the fact that I watched Slumdog Millionaire the night before, which was a really freaking good movie. It really kept you interested. I want to read the book now. I think some of the actors in that should of been nominated because they were good. Brad and Angelina were average to say the least and I can think of far better actors to nominate too.
