Orlando Bloom Thinks It’s an Honor Just to be Nominated
At least, that’s the sentiment he’ll be expressing, should he happen not to win his nomination for Best Male Performance in Britain’s first National Movie Awards. His nomination is for his work in the third “Pirates of the Caribbean” movie. Orlando’s facing competition from the likes of Daniel Craig, Bruce Willis and Daniel Radcliffe (among others) as well as his very co-star, Johnny Depp. How awesome would it be if Johnny Depp happened to win, beating out Orlando (a Brit) by using his fake British accent to portray Jack Sparrow? Actually, not really that awesome, I guess, since this awards show means almost nothing to me. Give me some time and context and then we’ll talk.
And here we see Orlando, completely unaware of the obnoxious comments that I’m making about him in the future. At the time these photos were taken, Orlando was very obligingly signing autographs for fans, and although I think that he seems like a nice guy, I still find the inexplicable penchant for scarves and stache combo a bit off-putting. It’s a bit too Pepe Le Pew for me.
