Scotland’s Daily Record has issued an apology to Nicole Kidman after publishing false quotes that the paper claimed she’d made about Angelina Jolie’s charity work. What exactly did the paper say Nicole said about Angelina? Basically, it said that Angelina was getting a lot of publicity for things that the average person might do everyday. The star of “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” is the Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations, while Kidman herself is an Ambassador to UNIFEM, the United Nations Development Fund for Women.
The paper issued the apology and stated that they (The Daily Record) “attributed comments to Nicole Kidman in relation to Angelina Jolie. We accept that Ms. Kidman did not make those comments to us, and we apologize for any upset.” You know I kinda wish it were true, but as always Kidman’s rep said something like Nicole has great admiration and respect for Angelina and her charitable work…blah, blah.
