Why do I feel like the Hillary Clinton doll would be less cuddly? Here’s the new Barack Obama plushy doll. There’s probably a lot more political humor to be made here but I’ll leave it to the comment board. You can buy the Obamakinz doll here for $16.95. But check it out – Democratic presidential candidate nominee Barack Obama’s going to be on The View!

Obama will appear on the March 28 episode, probably to follow up on damage control in relation to his pastor Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright’s inflammatory remarks on race.

In a speech addressing the issue on Tuesday, Obama called for us to not “retreat into our respective corners” when it comes to race in this country.

“The fact is,” he said in his speech, “that the comments that have been made and the issues that have surfaced over the last few weeks reflect the complexities of race in this country that we’ve never really worked through – a part of our Union that we have yet to perfect.”

True. This country isn’t exactly the melting pot everyone wanted. This isn’t good enough for that pinhead Elisabeth Hasselbeck. The View co-host has her head so far up her ass that she can see out of her own mouth.

“To say that he has just now distanced himself, concerns me because I think that they have a long-standing relationship,” she said on The View earlier this week.

Hasselback isn’t a pinhead because she found fault with Obama’s speech. She’s a pinhead because she’s a pinhead. Water = wet. Fire = hot. Elisabeth Hasselbeck = pinhead. One of her kids is going to be a gay Satanist. Mark my words.

After she gave birth to her most recent kid, I said that it was probably going to be gay. I thought I was going to get the “omgz you’re so mean” reactions, but instead I got high-fives.

Only people playing the race game: Obama’s camp.

Not working though. Ameicans are finally waking up.

“Poll: Clinton takes national lead over Obama

A new Gallup poll also showed apparent Republican presidential nominee John McCain leading both Democrats, a sign Clinton and Obama’s continued back-and-forth is benefiting the Arizona senator. McCain holds a 4 point lead over Obama (47-43 percent) and 3 point lead over Clinton (48-45 percent). That poll had a margin of error of plus or minus 2 percentage points”.

I thought it was an Al Roker doll.

    She may be a twit

hmmmm, no one thinks the Republican party has an issue because they don’t denounce the HOMOPHOBIC rhetoric that comes from folks like Jerry Falwell??? In fact, they actually COURT this man and his followers for votes.

Not a god damn word is said about that.

Our Vice President’s OWN ADVISOR performed treason by outing a CIA operative and not a god damn thing has happened to Dick Cheney. Why? Where’s the outrage that he could possibly be connected with such a reprehensible man? No where.

I love how indignant we all get when the black community says something inflammatory when the white community has been saying/practicing/doing horrible, horrible things for CENTURIES.

but B. Hussein Obama is INTIMATELY INVOLVED with a black racist and he is given a free pass.
    —————-

Oh, Marigold,,,that B. Hussein trick is beneath you.

But alas what kills me is that all races place the race card every damn day. I love it. Some people just have more success…namely white men. I love that no one talks about race in the republican campaign BUT the fact of the matter is that many people in the US vote for a candidate because HE is White but noone cares unless a person of color votes for another person of color. Then they are racist and are one issue voters. The fact of the matter is most of us are single issue voters which is problematic. Ask any anti-choice voter. They would put SATAN in office if he promised to make abortion illegal!
Men are more likely to vote for men. But noone discusses that. Its only if women vote for a woman then its a problem.

PS–TBone your comments are consistently silly with hatred of all things not mainstream. You scare me.

  10. T-Bone

Big difference, krystyn. NO ONE would have a problem with Obama having a racist friend, colleague, polictical party member, or family member, as long as that person isn’t considered their “mentor”, but not only was Reverend Wright the leader of the hate-filled church Obama belonged to FOR 20 YEARS, but Reverend Wright was a big part of Obama’s campaign committee, his CLOSE friend, HIS MENTOR, and from what many have said, his FATHER FIGURE! This guy was as close to Barack Obama is one could get! Yet Obama LIED to the American people by saying he had never heard the preacher speak those words, and then retracted that and said HE HAD heard him speak those words but not very often. He SAT in the pew for 20 years and allowed his children to listen to those anti-GAY, anti-American, anti-white, anti-Jew, hate-filled sentiments for 20 years and HE NEVER once questioned whether he should be sitting there???? There are videos of Obama nodding his head in agreement with the good Reverend, so you try to tell me Obama’s feelings weren’t closely aligned to Reverend Wright’s. YEAH he gave a great speech about racial equality and how the nation should come together, but I SAY that speech should have been spoken to his hate-filled congregation! Remember, white people were behind this guy in a big way, and many were about to make him their Democratic nominee regardless of the guy’s skin color! HE WAS IN THE LEAD, REMEMBER??? People were behind him! The fact that people are now questioning who he is and his judgement is RIGHT ON! They ought to! There’s a HUGE difference between having an opinion on an issue and spewing hatred and fueling the fires of racism! And Reverend Wright is doing JUST THAT, with Obama sitting closely at his side! He has NO ONE to blame but himself!

  11. idontgetthescandal

Give Obama a break. Sure, the preacher has some radical beliefs, but he’s not the one running for president.

So far, Obama is the only candidate who has shown some real BALLS standing up to people and fighting to show us what he believes is right. He’s allowed to have people in his life, even religious leaders, whom he does not always agree with.

Let’s check McCain and Clinton’s roster of friends and see what kind of disturbing people we find. . . Lucky for them the only candidate being constantly attacked in this election is Obama. Why? Because he represents the most change. . . and obviously Americans would rather just keep the same shitty perspective we’ve been forced to deal with the past eight years.

  12. T-Bone

“Mainstream” isn’t really a name I’ve been called before, Bunny2, but thanks.

I just find it disgusting that some of us have been out here fighting against racism, inequality, and a lack of equal justice for a long time, while the Reverend Wright’s of the world thwart all efforts by telling their flocks that white people are injecting Africans with HIV to kill them off and that white America created 911 to go after Muslims and protect the Jews, and that we bomb everyone who isn’t white. YOU tell ME how racism is ever going to end with this going on, because this is what the Reverend Wright’s of the world are telling their young congregation members!

aren’t these ALL personal attacks? i mean, seriously, when you call a specific person out on the web, and make reference to THEIR comments as part of YOUR post, you’re getting personal.

    pot…here’s the kettle. say, ‘hola!’

as far as the politicking is concerned, SHOULD obama receive the d. nomination, it will just be the d.’s handing the election (and presidency) to the r.’s.

very, VERY foolish of the d.’s.

and finally–that’s TOTALLY al roker. i mean, duh!

ooooo…they got intimate? this story is getting better and better every minute.

  16. spaz

um, marigold, he’s clearly NOT being given a free pass, as all of the press on this demonstrates.

my opinion is that EVERYONE, political candidates and the general public, has people in their lives that they may look up to, but not agree with on all subjects. to add, just about everyone, at some point in their past, has had dealings with people that are now their “enemies”. Example? In the 80s, Saddam Hussein was our ally. A very tenuous alliance, to be sure, but Iraq was our ally. When it served our gov’t, he was our friend. when it further served our gov’t, he became an “evil-doer” who had to be removed from power.

another example? china has had “most favored nation” trading status with the US gov’t for YEARS. Yet we conveniently overlook their gross human rights violations.

doesn’t make it right, but to pick on someone for this is just another political tactic by the opposing party. both parties do it…it’s just part of politics.

  17. Kayla

Was it good judgment to stay at this church for so long knowing how controversial the minister is?
Is that the kind of good judgment he plans on using in the white house?

  18. sara

The reason so many people are upset is that Obama held himself above everyday politics, including race-baiting; however, he chose as a mentor someone who has chosen to to make his ministry about vile hatred. I have no doubt that he attended that church for political purposes…it gave him a lot of credibility while he was a local Chicago politician. But he couldn’t expect that his tolerance of this bigotry wouldn’t come back to haunt him. In addition, people can go on and on about how Wright deserves to have this mentality b/c of the era in which he grew up, but how do you excuse the anti-Semitism? It was American Jews who worked tirelessly in the South during the 60′s to help establish civil rights for all. But Wright travels with Farakhan and his church mag lifted this hateful man up to be admired? Give me a break. You lay down with dogs, you wake of with fleas. You can’t preach unity and have as counsel someone who is preaching separatism.

  19. krystyn

did HIllary use good judgement when she was involved in all her shady dealing with Whitewater?

People will find any way to justify their latent racism.

  20. Kayla

Oh Krystyn, Now everyone and anyone who questions Barack Obama’s judgment or actions will be called racists right?. How typical. It doesn’t matter that I was thinking of voting for him before all this happened. Forget about that little fact. It’s gotta be race. Laughing at your rationale.

  21. Marigold

It’s amazing to me that when someone disagrees with what you say, you personally attack them. I thought you were supposed to be the “tolerant”. Give me a break. I think the speech was excellent but it still doesn’t solve this problem–he has been associated with a racist for 2 decades AND he LIED TO THE AMERICAN PEOPLE about ever hearing the “good reverend” say any of this mess. LIAR LIAR LIAR. Period. When Ron Paul received a donation from a WHITE racist, he was skewered, but B. Hussein Obama is INTIMATELY INVOLVED with a black racist and he is given a free pass.

  22. Mary

If Obama gets nominated we’re just gonna end up with McCain. Is that what we really want? Obama should just step down. This is not going to go away and McCain will crush him in November. If he loves this country as he said he does, he should just step down.

  23. sillyme

Um, Obama’s not that dark. This looks more like Al Roker. So, they’ve intentionally darkened Obama’s skin color? Hmm, what does it all mean? Is the Clinton campaign behind this? Is it just another attempt by the Clinton campaign to make Obama seem “more black” in order to scare white voters? I expect whoever made this toy will receive a phone call from David Axelrod, demanding an apology for playing the race card. Both Clinton and McCain will also be pressured to denounce the use of the darker color of the Obama doll.

  24. SILLY YOU IS RIGHT

Shut the h*ll up Sillyme. SillyYOU is right.
No one cares how dark the doll gets. Doesn’t matter one bit to any of the voters. Quit trying to play the race card. B. Obama wasn’t in any way sabotaged. He made the choice to attend a racist church and got caught. He tried to talk out of both sides of his mouth and would up looking like a hypocrite. He lied to the voters and they busted him. He shot himself in the foot, not the evil white wheel.
