Nurses Are Fashionable People Too

And Katherine Heigl is here to answer (the apparent) demand for scrubs with style. After playing a surgeon on “Grey’s Anatomy,” Heigl is teaming up with a “healthcare-clothing company.” The couture scrubs will bear the name “The Katherine Heigl Collection.”

“I have tremendous respect for women in the healthcare industry and I know that it is often a difficult and thankless job. I wanted to create a line of scrubs that would allow women to infuse some of their personality and style into their work apparel. When you feel good about how you look, you are more confident, more motivated and it can lift your spirits.”

I am foreign to the entire world of health care clothing, but if it somehow translate into a more pleasant excursion to the dentist and/or doctor…..I say rock on Izzie. At least it might be a decent conversation starter over the standard issued “Hang In There” poster with a kitten climbing a fence.

As a recently addicted “Hells Kitchen” fan, check out some polls that ask who will get the axe this week. Or if you prefer to stick with the Celebrity Gossip on say…Paris Hilton, see if you agree with the rest of the Famesters community on her jail terms.

Did you title this post in the 1950s? Women have other roles in the health industry besides NURSING, buttmunches!

I can’t tell you how many times I am asked, when I am in scrubs and/or my white coat, what kind of nurse I want to be. I AM NOT shelling out 250K to be a NURSE goddammit! There are such things as female doctors, in case any of ya’ll haven’t set foot in a hospital this side of the Polk presidency.

    (end rant)
