‘NSYNC Brings The 90s Back As One Direction & Justin Timberlake Wins Big!
Before we start talking about the whole 2013 MTV Video Music Awards let’s all just take a moment and bask in the glory of ‘NSYNC’s first onstage reunion since 2003. This just means that JC Chasez lied to my face and now I can never trust anyone again. Now, back to the rest of the awards.
I gotta say folks, it was a pretty entertaining VMAs. I mean, when anything starts off with Lady Gaga kicking ass while singing “Applause” you know you’re in for a good night.
Justin Timberlake was seriously the big man on campus winning Video of the Year for “Mirrors” and receiving the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award–which he shared with ‘NSYNC. His 20 minute performance was definitely the highlight of the night. There’s a reason he is as famous as he is.
Also, Kevin Hart needs to go away. His jokes were not funny. And speaking of people that need to go away, I am so over Miley Cyrus. There, I said it. “We Can’t Stop” is not that good of a song, and her performance was awful. Plus, her twerking on Robin Thicke just made everyone feel uncomfortable. Also, she became this person at the show.
Taylor Swift telling One Direction to “shut the fuck up” just before they gave an award to Selena Gomez. Also, I am SO happy 1D won Best Song of the Summer for “Best Song Ever” because that song is catchy and awesome. And the video is hysterical.
Overall guys, I’d say it was a pretty good show. I mean, any show that has Adam Lambert being Adam Lambert wins in my book. Oh, and is Katy Perry’s “Roar” growing on anybody else?
We’ve got the full list of winners below and check out all the best photos from the show and backstage in the gallery! What was your favorite part of the night? Tell us your highlight in the comments or by tweeting us @socialitelife! Until next year!
