Prince William Didn’t Send A Letter Of Congrats To President Obama

November 7th, 2012 // 2 Comments

Earlier today, Us Weekly claimed to have an “exclusive” on a personal note of congrats from the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to President Obama.

While we have no doubt that Kate gave mental props to Michelle for re-wearing an outfit, we can confirm that no letter was sent from the future king to #44.

A St. James’s Palace spokesperson confirmed to SOCIALITE LIFE that the story is “not true” and that there is “no statement” from Their Royal Highnesses.

What is true is that William and Kate will attend a black-tie dinner in London tomorrow night in aid of St. Andrew’s University.  The royal couple met and fell in love there, and William is a patron of the fundraiser aimed at raising money for the school’s 600th Anniversary Campaign.

On Sunday, the Duke and Duchess will join Queen Elizabeth at the Cenotaph for Remembrance Day.
