Nina Dobrev stood out last night at the 2012 AMFAR Cinema Against Aids Party in a sequined Elie Saab gown (and did you get a look at that slit?). According to her tweet on May 23rd, Dobrev looks like she’ll be taking a spin around Europe, the first stop after Cannes being Paris. Perhaps another rendevouz with love Ian Somerhalder?
At last week’s CW upfronts in New York, Dobrev revealed her concerns about playing two vampires in season four of The Vampire Diaries. ”My challenge is going to be making them different, as I have thus far. Before it was because one’s a vampire one’s a human — it was easy — and now I have to try and make Elena a vampire.
“I know that Elena’s going to struggle a lot with keeping her humanity,” Dobrev told Us Weekly. “Up until now, that’s what she’s been struggling to hold on to. Her life is so supernatural, and now, without having a choice, she’s going to have to live with it for the rest of her life.” And what a long life that will be. Pray tell, Elena. Who might you spend eternity with: Damon or Stefan?
“Finding out that she chose Stefan even though she actually met Damon first. . . there’s so much going on and there are so many emotions,” Dobrev said of the finale May 17th. “It’s going to be a new beast going into Season 4.”
Elena sacrificed her own life to save friend Matt Donovan (Zach Roerig), after Rebekah (Claire Holt) caused his car to swerve and plummet into the water. What Elena didn’t know was that she had vampire blood running through her veins, which ultimately sealed her fate.
