Yahoo! reports that Niki Taylor claims she was led to believe that E! was doing a profile on her life, focusing on the most current projects in her career, when really they were tricking her into cooperating on a special that essentially chronicled her downfall. The premiere episode, which focuses on Taylor, premiered last week, in spite of efforts made by the model’s legal team to prevent its airing. The show title is “Blvd. of Broken Dreams,” and E!’s website for the show characterizes this “Blvd.” as follows:
“In a place between heaven and Hollywood, dreams turn tragic and fame goes sour fast.”
As for the suit itself, Taylor alleges that E! caused “intentional influction of emotional distress” on her person by focusing on her past hardships, and implying that the difficulties Taylor has encountered along her career have essentially left her a washed-up, has-been, to use the technical jargon of the industry.
In any case, I know I’m constantly having to cruise up and down the Blvd. of Broken Dreams any time Sunset and/or Santa Monica are too congested and I’ve yet to see Niki trolling, but whatevs.
