Nicole Kidman Signs On For A Blockbuster And A Biopic

Nicole Kidman is certainly keeping busy, having signed on to two major projects recently, Hemingway & Gellhorn and Trespass. Plus, throw in an unexpected cameo in an upcoming Adam Sandler comedy.

Trespass promises to be a huge blockbuster blowout (did somebody say Nicolas Cage?) directed by Joel Schumacher about a husband and wife taken hostage until unexpected deception and betrayals become known. The action-adventure flick will begin production in August in Lousiana.

However, ‘Hemingway & Gellhorn is another movie entirely, an arty biopic about Ernest Hemingway’s (played by Clive Owen) relationship with his third wife Martha Gellhorn, a 20th century war photographer. The HBO film is expected to air in late 2011 or early 2012. Kidman (pictured with her daughter today at the Sydney Airport) is no stranger to these kinds of roles. The classy lady of stature seems to gravitate towards roles of, well, classy ladies of stature. Diane Arbus, Virginia Woolf…now check another one off the list. But still with the stupid action movies? Hey, at least the girl shows versatility.
