It looks like Nicki Minaj is on her way to conquering all aspects of Hollywood!
Along with the multi-continental headlining tour she is about to embark on, and her new post as American Idol judge, the rapper also just launched her first perfume, Pink Friday.
The rapper visited Macy’s Herald Square in New York City to promote the fragrance which is boasted to have hints of jasmine, lotus flower, vanilla , and skin musks, among other scents. It’s an endeavor that Minaj had been working on for quite some time, the singer told MTV.
She also noted how she remained a big voice (as if that were a problem for her) in the design of the bottle. “I didn’t know I would have a pink wig on the bottle until I met with the fragrance company and they asked me what I wanted my bottle to look like and I said — is there any way we can put a pink wig on it?” She continues, ”And they came back with sketches and I was floored that they actually nailed it, I couldn’t stop looking at the sketches.”
The bottle, which is molded in a likeness of the rapper herself, features Minaj’s signature pink wig, pink lipstick, a white and blue bustier, and a gold medallion around the neck spelling out “Nicki Minaj;” aspects that Minaj believes will make her fans “spaz out” over.
