After being hospitalized for kidney failure, Nick Cannon not only wants to lead a healthier lifestyle, but wants to be an even better father to his twins Moroccan and Monroe. While on a family trip to Aspen, Colorado, Cannon suffered lower back pain and was rushed to the hospital to discover that his kidneys were shutting down.
During an interview with MTV, the radio and stand-up comedy host referred to his wife, Mariah Carey, as his angel for being there for him. Cannon also said that his health scare made him realize how important his family is. He said:
Right now my kids are everything — they’re always going to be everything, but when something like this happens to you, everything else is shut out and you’re just focused on them. So every second you just notice so many things … it just makes it so much more poignant. I love everything that they do and just want to be a part of everything.
