  • Actress Demi Moore is reported to be pregnant by a source other than Star Magazine. [This is London]
  • Sean Penn has a plastic Barbie-like doll of Ann Coulter, the right-wing pundit, that he likes to torture on occasion. Penn says of Coulter, “There are cigarette burns in some funny places. She’s a pure snake-oil salesman. She doesn’t believe a word she says.” How do you really feel Sean? [Page Six]
  • So the story is now that Isaac Hayes did not have a stroke, and it was his decision to leave South Park. Right. [E! Online]
  • Vanity Fair editor Graydon Carter is in talks to jump to Paramount Pictures. That’s the rumor. Los Angeles, you can have him. [Gatecrasher]
  • Gawker stalkers beware, Michael Jackson is in town to give a deposition in the $48 million lawsuit filed against him by Prescient Partners. [Page Six]
  • Colin Farrell and Kate Moss are allegedly phone dating. In February, the pair met up in Miami, Florida, while the actor was enjoying a two-day break from rehab. When did people start getting breaks from rehab? [FemaleFirst]
  • Fashion designer Roberto Cavalli has been sentenced to 14 months in jail for tax evasion. Please allow him to have access to a sketch pad. [contactmusic]

LOL, if not Star, what magazine impregnated Demi?

  2. tia

Poor Roberto .. I love his clothes. They better give him a sketc pad or I will be devastated.

  3. bathina

yes… but Cavalli better pay his taxes! i can’t stand riiiich people that don’t pay taxes!

  4. Girly Girl

Its groovy that Demi and her trophy boy are having a baby, but she spent something like a hundred g’s on lipo and plastic surgery before she did Charlie’s Angels, and now that is all going to go to hell in a handbag…

I think this thing of chicks having babies at 50 is f#cking ridiculous. I mean, Angela Bassett and twins? Joan Lunden? Enough already… there is a reason the conception rate drops to 35% after the age of 35. It just isn’t normal to have your mom wearing dentures and drinking Metamucil for dinner when you are in the third grade.

(Having said that, I think babies are AWESOME and I’m happy for all of these moms, but good god, ovaries have a ‘Best If Used By’ date for a reason).

    Hey girly, I totally agree

The rate for developmental disorders goes up ALARMINGLY after 35…it’s like one in 10 babies will have Down Syndrome if the mother is 45-50 years old. That’s a HUGE risk just to have a kid…I would adopt if I wanted to have a baby and I was that old…it’s just not fair to the potential child to have that much of a risk placed on it’s life before it’s even born!

  6. terk

I agree Demi is taking a big risk getting pregnant at her ripe old age.

Anyone buy the “Isaac Hayes really quit South Park on his own and Scientology didn’t make him do it” bullshit?

    Didn’t think so.

  7. J.

Gee, that Sean Penn sure is a person of tolerance and diversity – lolololol, what a hypocrite.

  8. my2cents

I’m sure Demi is aware of the risks…good for them! I wish them the best and baby too!

Right on Girly Girl and Kelsey. About once a week I see an older mother with a child with Down’s Syndrome. Makes me so sad. Not that people don’t have the right to pre-create, but it’s still so sad. I feel the same way about men having children at an old age though too. “Hey Grandpa….I mean dad, can you come push me on the swing? What’s that, you can’t push your walker through the sand?”

Sean needs to finish what he started.. Um, let’s see; there’s Iraq and Lousiana, idle and war/storm torn, waiting for your expert management and reporting talents huh?.. Certainly we can’t get the facts of chaos and mayhem, recovery around the world, and blame the real villians unless you personally witness and report them. What a piece of prideful work he is!

I knew a woman who was in her early twenties and all three of her children had Downs Syndrome. I think it has more to do with genetics than with age. If people were not supposed to have children at a certain age I believe that they would not be able to. I read an article recently that said that not being able to have kids after a certain age had more to do with just having had more time to get std’s, not because of the age of the person.
