NHL Player Sean Avery Calls Ex Elisha Cuthbert Sloppy Seconds

December 3rd, 2008 // Leave a Comment

A suspension has resulted from hockey player Sean Avery‘s statements made after a practice on Tuesday with reporters in Calgary. The Dallas Stars player said, “I just want to comment on how it’s become like a common thing in the NHL for guys to fall in love with my sloppy seconds. I don’t know what that’s about.”

Now Avery is paying the price for being so glib in reference to ex-girlfriend Elisha Cuthbert. His “inappropriate public comments” purportedly refer to the 24 star’s romance with Calgary Flames defenseman Dion Phaneuf and Sean is scheduled to talk with the NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman, who will determine if additional penalties will be enacted.

Imagine if Paris Hilton‘s ex-boyfriends got this bitter after breakups. They’d eventually end up so exhausted from trying to keep track of her rebounds they’d eventually either just give up or go into a coma.
