Newly Inaugurated: President Barack Obama

It was a long election year and now after much anticipation, the United States has ushered in its 44th president into office. President Barack Obama took to the stage after a rousing performance by legendary soul singer Aretha Franklin and the swearing in of Vice President Joe Biden.

While President Obama was reciting back his statement while being sworn into office, he hesitated over a phrase and to be quite frank, we don’t blame him. These are tough times! Obama’s going to be working some crazy, long hours, if he wants to get this country back on the right track.

For now, it’s time for a celebration over the history that was made today! Sweeping up the confetti can wait until tomorrow morning.
