New Details Emerge Surrounding The Death Of Whitney Houston

More details are becoming to emerge regarding the death of singer Whitney Houston yesterday (February 11). TMZ reports that while no illegal drugs were found in Houston’s hotel room, prescription drugs were. Also, there was no evidence that Whitney was drinking alcohol in the room.

The singer’s was apparently found in tub, so there is the possibility that may have drowned. When EMTs arrived Whitney’s body was already removed from the bathtub so it will take an autopsy to determine if she OD’d, drowned or died from some other cause.

TMZ also is reporting that she was taking Xanax, which is commonly used to treat anxiety and depression. The night before Whitney died, she had been drinking a lot. Xanax mixed with alcohol can cause severe sedation, which could cause someone to fall asleep in a bathtub.

Whitney’s ex-husband Bobby Brown is said to be devastated. It was an emotional night for Brown as he performed Saturday night before thousands just hours after learning that his ex-wife Whitney Houston had died in Beverly Hills.

“First of all, I want to tell you that I love you all,” he told fans gathered at a nearly sold-out 7,500-seat venue in northern Mississippi. “Second, I would like to say, ‘I love you, Whitney.’ The hardest thing for me to do is to come on this stage.”

He performed about 10 songs over more than hour—”My Preogative” and “Mr. Telephone Man” among them—before he appeared visibly shaken on stage.

Brown suddenly appeared overcome with emotion as the concert wound down, wiping his face with his vest as the group prepared to sing a ballad. When the song began, he joined in, but his voice cracked. He then waved to the fans and walked off stage. The show ended shortly afterward.
