As if we could forget what an amazing dad he is, Neil Patrick Harris will subtly remind us from time to time how great of a father he is to his new twins Gideon Scott and Harper Grace with David Burtka.
Years from now he can say to little Harper, “Daddy picked out Cinderella.”
Harris was one of three celebrity judges that whittled down the competition of 700 girls to one lucky SoCal local, Veronica Dunne, to star in the Lythgoe Family Productions, Magic Pictures International and Jason Haigh-Ellery Modern Musical Extravaganza, Cinderella. The production will take place at the historic El Portal Theatre in North Hollywood from November 27-December 19, 2010, according to Melodika, and the cast, which includes Freddie Stroma, Jennifer Leigh Warren, Jerry Mathers and Vinnie Jones, made sure to attend the V.I.P red carpet premiere, as did fellow celebrity judge Kara DioGuardi.
The Lythgoe Family brings a wild, wacky and interactive holiday style, known as British holiday pantos, to the States this season (a British Panto is a British institution, it’s a modern musical play based on Fairytale stories).
“Panto is for the whole family and something that truly unites family together in fun and entertainment,” says Kris Lythgoe, Executive Producer and CEO of Magic Pictures International. “It’s a must see over this holiday season. This British version of Cinderella is fun for the kids, but clever enough to delight adults, a treat for the entire family.”
Seriously, no one’s going to one-up this little girl on the playground after she brags about this.
