Natalie Portman Keeps Fit While Enjoying Family Life [PHOTOS]

By the looks of it, you’d never guess that Natalie Portman just gave birth four months ago!

Portman was spotted jogging in LA with fiancé Benjamin Millepied early Sunday morning. Seems like her post-baby exercise and diet regimen is working well for her, judging by how quickly she’s slimmed back down to pre-baby size.

She and Millepied also took the time out this weekend to have a family outing with son, Aleph, at the Huntington Library, Art Collections, and Botanical Gardens in San Marino. For the occasion, the Black Swan star was dressed in a cornflower blue sweater over a comfortable, semi-sheer floral dress, which showed off her killer legs. Super jealous!

I completely udrtnseand what Reyes is saying about being single-minded in ballet. I was in the ABT summer intensive in New York a couple of the same years that Reyes was, and I remember watching her dance. She was beautiful. However, my time at ABT was what led me to realize that I did not want a career in ballet. I realized that I was unwilling to let my entire life be consumed by my desire to be in a major ballet company. While I found the company dancers awe-inspiring, I realized that I would have to sacrifice my health and self-esteem to reach their level. I was a very tall dancer, and while I was quite thin I felt that to achieve the level I wanted I would need to adopt unhealthy eating habits. I couldn’t rationalize this thought which was what led me to stop pursuing ballet. I will always love the art form, and I am so glad that there are people who can devote their whole lives to it. But to me it always felt like it was all or nothing. I wanted to go to college and I love writing. Since quitting ballet I graduated from college with a Journalism degree and worked as a reporter. Now I work in state government utilizing graphic design and writing skills. Ballet will probably always be my strongest passion, but after I quit was when I began to really grow. However, in an ideal world my day job would be located in NYC where I could spend my evenings enjoying NYCB and ABT (And now I’m stepping off of my soap box!)
