Naomi Campbell might exert some physical effort if you giver her a personal trainer on a yacht in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, France. But take stairs in a building? Not in her contract.
Naomi has caused some…issues while promoting her perfume line over the years. (How does one bottle the smell of raging psycho?) Note to the world: SHE’S NOT A PLEASANT PERSON TO WORK WITH. How many things have to happen before people figure that one out?
Moodform, a perfume and cosmetic development and distribution company is suing Campbell for backing out of their 12-year-old deal and the suit seems to highlight the fact that she’s a bitch. In an affidavit Campbell’s former agent, Carole White, said that Campbell backed out of a televised awards show in Australia, set up to help promote her perfume line, when she found out the elevator had broken and she would have to walk up two flights of steps. “Her failure to show was not only embarrassing, but caused friction with [the] Wella [perfume] people in Australia,” White said of the 2000 event.
I’m not sure why this is all coming out now, but I believe every word. Including Chris Owen, co-director at Moodform Mission, who said she was a nightmare to travel with on the promotional tour and once tried to attack him with a bottle. As of today Campbell is still prominently displayed on the company’s website. Campbell is countersuing and is of course “shocked and outraged” by the claims.
