I friggin’ love the Olympics, and I love it even more when the Olympics are played in London.

On top of that, US won gold in Women’s Beach Volleyball!  Amazing duo Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh Jennings were beside themselves after winning gold, their 21st Olympic win – First in Athens, then Beijing and now London, according to the Huffington Post.  The girls beat out fellow Americans Jennifer Kessy and April Ross, who took silver, while Brazil took bronze.

As Prince Harry watched from the crowd, May-Treanor and Walsh Jennings defeated Ross and Kessy 21-16, 21-16.  ”We set the bar very high,” said May-Treanor, whose elation was contagious. “We extended ourselves over that bar even higher.”  May-Treanor, who only decided to join Walsh Jennings at the last minute for these games, says she will retire after this.

Kessy, a good sport, said of May-Treanor and Walsh Jennings: “They’re the best team of all time.”

After recieving their gold medals, Walsh Jennings said, ”It’s insane. It doesn’t feel like it’s real.  I told Misty when we were getting our medals, ‘If I wake up tomorrow and we have to replay this match, I’m going to be furious.’ Because it feels like I’m in a dream. It truly feels surreal and it didn’t feel like that the first two times for whatever reason. But this, it’s almost too good to be true.”
