Oh, how fun. Andy Cohen and Giuliana Rancic hosted the 2012 Miss USA pageant, which aired live from Planet Hollywood Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas last night (June 3rd). Donald Trump, who presides over the outdated festivities, introduced the co-hosts who were eager to get to the question section. ”It’s my favorite part — the final question!” Rancic chirped.
Judges Jonas Jonas and Rob Kardashian judged the 51 contestants who put on a fashion show (to show off their talents). First round was “A Day At The Races,” where the ladies showed off jaunty hats. Then it was “High-End Glamour,” then “Champagne Collection,” and then…the “Debutante Collection.” Yayyyy.
Kelly Osbourne helped critique the fashion, then introduce Gabe Sporta as “Cabra Starship.” No matter. He played to the tune of bikinis, anyway.
Miss USA 2011 Alyssa Campanella had a few words for the contestants, according to USA Today. ”Not many women can say they’ve made it to the Miss USA stage,” she said. ”I think there’s that saying that you’re more likely to have a son play in the Super Bowl than a daughter compete on the stage at Miss USA!” Olivia Culpo ended up taking home the crown!
