Wearing a top hat and tailored suit, Mischa Barton had a pep in her step at the 2012 Investec Epsom Derby, a festive kick-off to four days of Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
Alas, there were other eccentric folks stealing Barton’s thunder today in England, many of whom pulled out all the stops in the name of headwear. Others chose to show their national pride in the form of hats or purses, while a few even brought along cut-outs of Her Majesty to watch the races with.
Our friend and award-winning royal photographer Mark Stewart tweeted about a unique bin of biscuits given out to racegoers to mark this special occasion. ”Diamond Jubilee biscuits perfect for elevenses at the Epsom Derb,” Stewart tweeted today with a photo of the sweets. ”The box is great and includes a biscuit Buckingham Palace and a biscuit jockey in her [Majesty's] racing colours.”
