Miley Cyrus’ X-Rated Performance At The MTV VMAs 2013

August 26th, 2013 // 2 Comments

I think the Smith family’s reactions pretty much summed things up. However, it turns out the the Smith’s weren’t reacting to Miley Cyrus at all, they were reacting to Lady Gaga‘s performance. Oh well, it does sum things up nicely.

The 20-year-old pop star stepped out onto the stage a ball of energy, wearing a fuzzy gray leotard, as her hit single, “We Can’t Stop,” played. An animated and uninhibited performer, Cyrus’ dance moves were a clear departure from her Hannah Montana days.

Things got even dirtier when Robin Thicke joined her on stage to perform his massive summer hit, “Blurred Lines.” That’s when Ms. Cyrus If You’re Nasty decided to twerk her behind right up against the singer’s crotch, and also ran her giant foam finger down the front of his pants.

Watch the performance below.

On a positive note, Miley Cyrus did release her new single “Wrecking Ball,” and it is pretty awesome.

Miley Cyrus is a beautiful talented young lady who has taken the wrong path in life. She was wholesome and innocent…she has done a 360 and is so disgusting with her clothes (or lack of should I say) her language and of course the obscene gestures which seem to have become her norm. Why she insisits on showing off her tongue is beyond me. The young lady needs to grow up and have God in her life. Such a disappointment.

I think Miley tried too hard to shock for shock value and be the main topic of the night. She got the attention, but I wasn’t shocked, just bored because it seemed so contrived. The tongue action just made me laugh and think all of the canines in the animal shelter. I like Miley and she’s a talented girl and have no problem with pushing the envelope when it benefits a performance, but in this case I was glad when it was over. Loved Gaga and Bruno Mars. Justin Timberlake went on and on . He’s a nice guy, but doesn’t excite me. Give me Adam Lambert any day for an adrenaline rush and electric shock!
