Michelle Williams Does Double Duty At Cannes

May 23rd, 2008 // 2 Comments

Looking tiny, glam and retro, Michelle Williams walked the red carpet at Cannes for the premiere of her new movie, Wendy and Lucy. Speaking in her first public interview since Heath Ledger’s passing, Williams was upbeat. Michelle was also in the process of promoting another film of hers, Synecdoche, New York, in which she stars against Catherine Keener and Phillip Seymour Hoffman.

Williams said of the film festival experience, “[It's] something you can look back on at the end of your life and think, ‘That was a cool thing I did when I was 27.’ ”

Michelle took a break from filming Martin Scorsese’s Shutter Island to make the festival, staying in Cannes a brief 48 hours without her daughter, Matilda.

  1. Gozde

Maybe it’s the way her character died on Dawson’s Creek, maybe it’s the way she portrayed Alma so powerfully silent in Brokeback mountain, maybe it’s that she always looks so sweet and innocent and it’s definitely because she lost Heath Ledger so suddenly that I love her! Can’t help but…

I agree Gozde, there is something special about her.
