Michael Phelps and Jim Parsons Recreate the ‘Phelps Face’ for Intel

Michael Phelps and Jim Parsons have recreated the “Phelps Face” (the grimace seen around the world’ that was made famous during the Rio Games) for a new campaign with Intel.

This marks Phelps’ first post-Rio brand collaboration.

Continuing Intel’s commitment to reinventing the sports experience for athletes and fans alike, the brand announced its latest campaign featuring former-Olympian Michael Phelps showcasing the better experiences found on Intel-powered PCs.

The partnership is a natural fit for both Michael and Intel given that the new Intel-based PCs are fast and powerful, much like the swimmer himself.

The first TV spot of the campaign is called “Faster Processing,” and shows Michael, one of the world’s fastest swimmers, using an old and outdated PC. In addition to Phelps, The Big Bang Theory star Jim Parsons is featured in the ad encouraging Michael to upgrade and points out the irony.

The commercials and campaign went live yesterday (Oct. 17, 2016).
