At the Tribeca Film Festival on April 21st for the premiere of Shrek Forever After, Melanie Griffith and Antonio Banderas shared news about Griffith’s rehab stay and return to health.
Melanie Griffth went to rehab for the third time last August to battle her 30-year-old substance abuse problem, with the full support of her family. Banderas told People, “The entire family participated in the process of rehabilitation. We went to the place where she was doing it, we participated in all the therapies … everything, everybody in the family. It’s tough, but at the same time, very rewarding.”
The family includes, Bandera, Griffith’s actress mother Tippi Herden and Griffith’s three children. Griffith shared that Banderas “did everything” and “has been an amazing man.” Good to see her doing well and hopefully that’ll be the last of the rehab stays!
